The Human Data Commons Foundation
The Human Data Commons Foundation was formed to address the increasing ethical problems caused by the scaling collection of personal data. Contemporary technology enables the development of massive databases which can be utilized for research and analysis, but at present, these are mainly built without transparency or accountability.
By establishing collaborations between big data companies, wellness researchers, and information security innovators, the HDC will create a scalable database with a focus on user consent and best practices in privacy and security.

Peruvian Anti-Poverty Association
The Peruvian Anti-Poverty Action Society (PAPAS) is a BC registered non-profit organization based in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Its vision is to eradicate poverty around the world. PAPAS began with a small group of people around a kitchen table discussing issues for women in Peru. Our scope of work is worldwide and currently concentrated in Peru. We are led by a Board of five Directors. The nature of our society is to alleviate poverty around the world. An overarching strategy is to be as directly connected to the community we serve. Therefore our work is carried out in partnership with sister organizations at the community level.
United Nations Association in Canada--Vancouver Branch
The Vancouver Branch of the United Nations Association in Canada (UNAC-V) works to promote global awareness and further the work of the United Nations through educational and recognition programs, partnerships, sponsorship of media events and fundraising. We aim to inform, inspire and engage people in Metro Vancouver to accomplish the vital work of the United Nations.
Some of the many issues UNAC-V addresses include poverty, gender inequities, human rights, cross-cultural understanding, environmental degradation and threats to peace and security – all brought together under the umbrella of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
UNAC-V is a committee of the United Nations Association in Canada. UNA Canada is one of many national UNA’s around the world connected through an international network, the World Federation of UN Associations, established in 1946.

Check Your Head: the Youth Global Education Network (CYH) is a youth-driven not-for-profit organization founded in 1999 and based in Vancouver, British Columbia, on unceded Coast Salish territories.
We provide education, resources, training and support for youth to live as engaged, independent and active citizens within our local and global communities. Our main activities include workshops, training, supporting youth-led actions, and engaging youth volunteers.

Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative's vision is a Howe Sound region where biodiversity is protected so that people and commerce benefit from a sustainable economy. Howe Sound (or Atl'Kitsem in the Squamish language) has the potential to be an outstanding model of sustainability and ecological health, providing a place for people to live, work, and play, now and in the future. Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative is working on an application to be nominated as a Biosphere Region, under the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Program.
