We are glad you are considering membership with us!
Membership with the council means joining an active group of Canadians involved with the BC international development sector in many different capacities dedicated to sustainable human development for all. With over 100 members the BCCIC network looks forward to being connected with you as well all work to improve the effectiveness of our work moving toward a better world.
Application for membership with us is open on an ongoing basis. Criteria for each type of membership may be viewed under the ‘Criteria and Benefits’ tab. The application form can be found below!
Once your application has been received, a member of the BCCIC team will be in touch with you to confirm as well as let you know if any documentation remains outstanding. Once deemed complete, organizational applications are sent on to the Board of Directors for recommendation and approval. Turnaround time for membership applications is one month. Upon approval by the Board of Directors, organizational members will be formally ratified at the next Annual General Meeting or formal membership gathering. Payment will be requested at the time of confirmation.
The following documents are required for Full Organizational Membership application:
• Application Form
• Certificate of Incorporation as a non-profit organization (if applicable)
• Current Board of Directors list
• Financial statements
• Mission Statement
• Documentation which gives an overview of your organization
• 1-2 high resolution photos from your work either in BC or abroad
• An electronic version of your logo
• Any additional supporting documentation as desired

Affiliate Membership & Individual Membership
Once your application has been received, a member of the BCCIC team will be in touch with you to confirm as well as let you know if any documentation remains outstanding. Turnaround time for membership applications is one week for individual and affiliate members. Payment can be completed online with the link at the end of the application form.
Once your application process is complete, a first formal chapter meeting is to be organized where a BCCIC representative will participate. As part of the first meeting BCCIC and a designated Chapter representative will sign the Chapter agreement. A detailed account of this process may be viewed in the ‘Chapters’ tab.
Members pay an annual fee to remain in good standing with BCCIC. Every year prior to the Annual General Meeting, the BCCIC team will prompt all members to renew their membership. Generally this happens in August.
