Bringing the Invisible Mosaic Together: BCCIC Annual General Meeting 2017 (Day 1)
Friday, September 22 | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM – BMO Great Hall with Peggy Gunn Woodland Halls A & B
Please join us for Day 1 of our 2017 BCCIC Annual General Meeting & Membership Forum which includes the Annual General Meeting, a meet-and-greet “Carnival Fun Fair”, and dialogue sessions on moving forward with the Sustainable Development Goals. Once a year, the BCCIC network is able to gather together to meet, connect, and explore how we can collectively undertake the global challenges the world faces today.
This is a BCCIC member only event will highlight key accomplishments in the last year, provide opportunity to network with other BCCIC members, and bring all of us together to dialogue on how we can move forward on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
At the biggest event of the year, you can expect to:
- Connect with other BCCIC members (including new members!)
- Connect with staff and board
- Have a recap of network accomplishments over the last year
- Learn about upcoming member opportunities in the coming year
- Lend your voice to the national SDG conversation

Bringing the Invisible Mosaic Together: Annual Conference (Day 2)
Saturday, September 23 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – SFU Harbour Centre – Segal Centre
Are you itching to hear about how local organizations are making an impact in the world? Or are you excited to share your own ideas and network with like-minded peers? If so, join the BC Council for International Cooperation for our biggest event of the year! We invite all of our members, groups and individuals working on and interested in sustainable development, and those seeking to converse and collaborate with others on how we can be working together to move toward a better world.
What to expect:
This full day program will feature presentations, discussions, and collaboration where YOU set the agenda! Talk about what needs to be talked about. Ask the questions that you’ve got burning in your mind. We’ve got a room full of fantastic people engaged in global issues and social justice – whatever you’ve got, bring it to the table! It’s the perfect platform for community discussions with sustainable development experts.
During the first half of the day, you will have the opportunity to visit small workshop sessions held by a few of our member organizations. They will be showcasing their latest work, discussing ideas, and answering any pressing questions you have about sustainable development. We’re keeping the second part of the day a secret – be ready for a fun surprise! The only hint that we’ll give you is that it’s very interactive. So come ready to discuss and learn, as there will be plenty of opportunities for participant-led discussion.

If you’re looking to expand your network then this is an event you can’t miss! Over the course of the day you will have the opportunity to network and converse with others who have a passion for sustainable development. You’ll come out of this event with a fresh perspective on how local work connects to the bigger picture, and you’ll have a larger and stronger network too!
The Day 2 of the event will be free to our members and $5 for non-members. Registration includes coffee, tea, light refreshments, and lunch. Be sure to register soon because registration closes Thursday, September 21st at 5pm!
