As a membership based network, BCCIC’s operations are guided by a set of organizational bylaws as well as a code of ethics.
BCCIC’s organizational bylaws, last updated in 2019, provide the guide by which our organization and network function. We encourage all members and prospective members to familiarize themselves with them at their leisure.
Code of Ethics
As a proud member of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (CCIC) BCCIC complies with and promotes a national Code of Ethics and Operational Standards. Last revised in 2009, the CCIC Code of Ethics outlines a set of operational standards, which includes a compliance procedure and guides practices. BCCIC encourages members of our network to read through these guidelines and comply with the outlined operational practices and procedures.
BCCIC's Policy to Prevent and Respond to Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, Harassment and Discrimination
BCCIC aims to cultivate a positive work environment free of sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment and discrimination where everyone, including our Board, staff members, contractors, consultants, volunteers, partners and members, feels safe, supported and respected and are aware of their rights and responsibilities in relation to the prevention and reporting of sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse.
