Demystifying Partnerships with Global Affairs Canada (Kelowna)
January 24 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
BCCIC is pleased to offer a unique opportunity to attend an in-person information session with staff from Global Affairs Canada to explore the nuts and bolts of partnering with GAC and applying for GAC funding. The event will provide information and insight into questions that are frequently asked by Global Affairs Canada’s partners, or potential partners, including:
- What are the main elements of Global Affairs Canada’s international assistance?
- What elements should be included when designing a project for Global Affairs Canada funding?
- How do selection processes (calls for proposals and unsolicited proposals) work?
- What happens after a project is selected?
- How does Global Affairs Canada work with partners during project implementation?
This workshop will be facilitated by Vaughn Lance. Vaughn has over 25 years of experience managing international development programs with Global Affairs Canada and CIDA. He is currently the Director responsible for calls for proposals and financial management for the Partnership for Development Innovation Branch of GAC. In previous positions, Vaughn has been responsible for coordinating the implementation of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy, economic growth policy, and development programming with the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and regional development banks.
