Call for Volunteers: French Ameri-Can Climate Talks Event – May 30

BCCIC is looking for some volunteers to assist with an exciting event coming up soon!

The French Ameri-Can Climate Talks – Biodiversity (FACT-B) is a new series of high level conferences bringing together French and Canadian speakers from academia, government agencies, NGOs and think tanks. The goal of FACT-B is twofold: to raise public awareness in France, the United States, and Canada, as well as to reinforce exchanges between scientists and experts on biodiversity issues.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to network as well as make a connection with BCCIC.

We are looking for some interested people to assist in supporting the logistics of this event, including for roles to:

  • Guide guests to the correct room in Robson Square
  • Dispense drink tickets
  • Take registration as guests enter
  • Serve wine after the event (requires a Serving-It-Right License)
  • Other general logistics support

Depending on the role, volunteers will be needed between 4pm-9pm on May 30 at UBC Robson Square (800 Robson St.), and will be reserved a seat during the event.

If this is of interest, please contact nicolas.climate@bccic.ca with your resume and a brief statement of interest that includes the times you are available and which role(s) you would be interested in. In the subject line please write “FACT-B Volunteer – [your name]” – we look forward to connecting with you!
