For The Love Of Africa (FTLOA) is a humanitarian, charitable organization that was registered as a society in 2004 and granted charitable status in 2006. Society members are volunteers committed to sharing their passion, energy and talents for project development. We are not just a society, but a family of friends working together for the benefit of not only the people of Tanzania, but for our own enjoyment and self-fulfillment. Every member is welcomed and valued for their contributions of ideas and time.
Our projects have been proposed by the local community leaders and are under their management. We work closely with them to help fulfill their dreams for access to education and basic health care for their people. The society has successfully worked with the people of Dodoma, Tanzania to build three preschools, a primary school, daycare Children’s’ Centre, a medical clinic and our current project, Dodoma Technical Institute. Teams from Canada travel at their own expense frequently to Tanzania to work with our African friends, and to keep in touch with people from all previous projects.
