We believe our decisions and actions
create the future of our home, planet earth.
We are creating a Kootenay based eco-footprint to help bring perspective of your impact on earth.
Before we can heal the earth, we must get past the stage of denial and into the stage of acceptance of where we are right now.
lets change our behaviour
so we can change our future

Youth LEADing the World Congress
YLTW Congress set for Oct 6 to 8th in Nelson BC!
WKGAN organized a YOUth LEADing the World Facilitator Training in February 2016, and 9 Youth aged 12 to 22 joined 6 adults for 3 intensive days of connection, exploration, looking at some tough facts and creating the vision of the world we want. It was intense, difficult, opening, challenging, and enlightening.
The goal of the YLTW Facilitation Training was to lead the youth through all of the phases of a YOUth LEADing the World Congress so that they are ready to lead and facilitate youth in participating in the following activities, conversations, brain storms and planning:
-Wake up call – understanding your eco-footprint and up-to-date science on the state of the planet.
-Digging deeper – strategic questioning and deep listening
-Daydreaming with purpose – creative visioning for a fair and sustainable future.
-Bold Brainstorming – throwing away SMART goals and reaching for VIBRANT goals
-Serious fun – playing games with meaning
-Creating Action Plans
-Hosting a Community Forum to present Action Plans and ask for help.
We are inviting youth aged 12 to 21 to participate in the Congress in Nelson BC, location TBA. The Congress will begin Friday Oct 6 late afternoon, run all day Saturday, and end with the Community Forum Sunday Oct 8 afternoon. There are up to 30 spaces for youth participants.
