New Policy Brief: Effective multi-stakeholder Engagement to Realize the 2030 Agenda

Funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Sustainable Development Goals Program, BCCIC is partnering with the Canadian Council for International Co-operation to produce a series of policy briefs on key issues concerning 2030 Agenda implementation, in particular multi-stakeholder engagement, capacity development, partnerships, localization, policy integration and coherence, coordination, and monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. In the coming months, BCCIC will publish more policy briefs on a rolling basis.

Effective multi-stakeholder Engagement to Realize the 2030 Agenda in Canada

Formal arrangements for effective multi-stakeholder engagement are a key element in ensuring whole-of-society approaches to implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Based on a review of good practices emerging from around the world, this policy brief provides a series of recommendations for how the Canadian government can develop effective mechanisms for multi-stakeholder engagement.
