Program Manager

CIRDI is a coalition of the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal that was established in May 2013. CIRDI’s mandate is to act as a centre for Canadian and world-class expertise that assists developing countries to improve and strengthen their natural resource governance through policy, legislation, regulatory development and implementation, training, technical assistance and applied research.

The Program Manager will develop and manage a portfolio of projects and activities related to the Institute’s program areas. This will include: developing, designing and implementing work plans for the delivery of the projects; acting as main point of contact for teams of technical experts, monitoring and overseeing reporting processes developing tools and processes for new business opportunities including developing administrative procedures to ensure deliverables are met.

CIRDI is currently delivering a large five year governance project funded by Global Affairs Canada in Ethiopia. The Program Manager will be responsible for supporting CIRDI’s field office in Addis Ababa. Responsibilities will include drafting of the Project Implementation Plan, Annual workplans and progress reports, drafting Terms of Reference, sourcing technical expertise to support implementation of the Project’s activities and contributing to the Project’s cross cutting thematic areas.
