The British Columbia Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC) is a network that engages in sustainable development and social justice issues. We are a membership-based organization made up of interested individuals, international development organizations and practitioners, and civil society organizations in British Columbia, Canada.
We are focused on promoting and supporting the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, both locally and globally. Our work includes public engagement, capacity building, networking, policy and representation, research, and youth engagement.
BCCIC is one of the leading voices for civil society organizations in the province, and acts as liaison among different provincial and national governments on matters related to Canada's sustainable development policies.
BCCIC engages its members and others to share knowledge, build relationships, and develop their capacity towards achieving sustainable global development.
British Columbians are engaged in global cooperation for a just, equitable, and sustainable world.
BCCIC aims to provide its members and others in BC with networking, information sharing, and learning opportunities that:
- facilitate cooperation and help achieve global development goals; and
- increase public awareness of, and support for, global development.
