Geetanjali is an Associate Professor and Program Chair of Global Development Studies at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV). She is also the former Director and current Faculty Associate of the Centre for Justice, Equity, and Sustainable Action (JESA) at UFV. She has a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Sussex (UK), a MSc in Development Policy and Planning from LSE (UK), and a BA Specialist Honours in International Development Studies (Co-op) from the University of Toronto. At UFV, she teaches courses in Humanitarianism, Global Health, Forced Displacement and Refugees, Gender and Global Development, and Decolonizing Aid and Development.

Geetanjali is the Principal Investigator of several research projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia focused on gender-transformative change and funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. She uses action-oriented, participatory, and feminist research methods, and collaborates with many local grassroots and non-government organizations. Geetanjali has also worked for more than sixteen years as a gender and global development practitioner, trainer, consultant, and evaluator.
